Heat Transfer Performance Potential with a High-Temperature Phase Change Dispersion

چکیده
Phase change dispersions are useful for isothermal cooling applications. As a result of the phase changes that occur in PCDs, they expected to have greater storage capacities than those single-phase heat transfer fluids. However, appropriate exchanger dimensions and geometries use dispersions, knowledge about convective coefficients is necessary. A test unit measuring local Nusselt numbers PCDs was created. The boundary condition constant flux chosen testing, experimental investigated dispersion were established. Different parameters, such as electrical wall input, Reynolds number, mass flow rate, varied during results compared water tests. It found that, due tendency low-temperature increases driving temperature difference water. In addition, larger obtained Through this experimentation, it acknowledged future investigation into optimised operating conditions must be performed.

During the last half of the twentieth century, significant advances have been made in developing an understanding of phase change heat transfer (e.g., boiling and condensation). Further advances in phase change heat transfer will continue to take place motivated by new technologies such as microelectronics, thermal management in space, advanced terrestrial and space power systems and processing...
متن کاملPhase transitions and change of type in low-temperature heat
Classical heat pulse experiments have shown heat to propagate in waves through crystalline materials at temperatures close to absolute zero. With increasing temperature, these waves slow down and finally disappear, to be replaced by diffusive heat propagation. Several features surrounding this phenomenon are examined in this work. The model used switches between an internal parameter (or extend...

In this study, by using the finite volume method, the heat transfer in a convective straight fin with temperature-dependent thermal properties and an internal heat generation under multi-boiling heat transfer modes are analyzed. In this regard, the local heat transfer coefficient is considered to vary within a power-law function of temperature. In the present study, the coexistence of all the b...

The present work involves numerical simulation of a steady, incompressible forcedconvection fluid flow through a matrix of porous media between two parallel plates at constanttemperature. A Darcy model for the momentum equation was employed. The mathematical model forenergy transport was based on single phase equation model which assumes local thermal equilibriumbetween fluid and solid phases. ...
